| | | | Dan-Bunkering did not hesitate at all when Tectura announced that they wanted to outsource parts of the company’s Microsoft Dynamics NAV system upgrade to Celenia Software’s development site in Ukraine. Their trust paid off - the task was carried through without difficulty at the appointed time – and at only half the price. | | Description of case Transiting fuel to ships and bunkering is so unique that an ERP-system for that specific purpose does not exist. For that reason the Dan-Bunkering concern decided to develop their own version of Microsoft Dynamics NAV that supports a digital workflow of their daily and quick transactions – without papers and doubled keying-in. However, this solution seemed to place them in a classic trap - a tailor-made solution that works perfectly, but during time would be very expensive and risky to upgrade. That is why the price for the upgrade had a substantial impact, and when Tectura offered to upgrade their system with help from Celenia Software, Dan-Bunkering accepted without hesitation. With help from Celenia Upgrade Services, performed by Celenia's experienced employees within Microsoft Dynamics NAV, Dan-Bunkering’s system was converted in a few months. Microsoft Partner Tectura was responsible for the whole process, quality level and commencement of operation. The task was handed to Celenia Software in Ukraine in the very beginning of 2006 – and end of March the complete system was converted without any glitches. The employees at Dan-Bunkering were carried through an introduction that lasted only a few hours and they were up and running!
Quote from Dan-Bunkering »The last thing we wanted to experience when upgrading our Microsoft Dynamics NAV, was any sort of internal hassle. Our business must not be interrupted! And it was not«, says Financial Manager Jesper Klokker Hansen. The IT manager, Enrico Augustinus adds: »They used Navision Attain 3.10 Friday and version 4.0 Monday without any hassle at all, and we were even airborne a week ahead of schedule«.
Quote from Microsoft Partner – Tectura It was the first time Tectura helped customers upgrading their Microsoft Dynamics NAV version at a competitive price without compromising on quality. It will certainly not be the last time. »A rising number of companies are approaching us with comprehensive upgrading and documentation tasks. A lot of companies use older versions or proprietary IT platforms, where many special modifications had never been documented, and until now it has been uneconomical to convert to an up-to-date platform. Together with Celenia we have the opportunity to offer an affordable and realistic upgrade project to an up-to-date, standardized and fully documented platform,« tells Tectura CEO Morten Poulsen.
